This is a photograph of my dad, Tom, in his army days. It is not the photograph I want to use for the project, but rather an example. I have a lovely one taken just before he died.
My dad was the most beautiful, talented, kind, funny person I have ever met. He died very suddenly at the age of 50, some 32 years ago. There is not a day goes by that I don't spare him a thought, and smile at the memory. Last year, I held the Thanksgiving Note Project as a means of seeing what people were thankful for, and to spread a bit of happiness around because it's nice to remember what it is we have to be thankful for in the first place. After receiving notes from all sorts of people, and two very pleasant (very VERY pleasant) sets of notes, we have what I think was a great project to bring a smile to people's faces.
This year...well you know what they say. Second verse, same as the first, a whole lot louder and a whole lot worse.
A few clarifications:
No, this contest is not only for Americans. I live in California, and as such the dates for this project fall close to the US Thanksgiving; however, anyone and everyone is welcome to take part, regardless of location.
