Now from what it said in the book, it said that chinstrap penguins are fearless birds and are known to drive humans away by raising their beaks and flapping their wings. I'm surprised that penguin didn' do that.
well, can't help it, people've got them in their yards here during the last dark weeks before Christmas! I'm not kiddin ya.. I should go find one and take a shot to show ya Antartica.. what a trip that would've been! Got more Antartica piccies to share?
oh, how awesome!! A penguin a day :melt: I dont have time to read your blog now (it's midnight) but I faved it so I know where to find it. Will go check it out later. Sounds awesome! What an adventure!
awesome photograph ! and very cute that is the perfect pose and your focus is spot on . the angle of the horizon enhances the art of it . i wonder what that penguin was thinking about you taking a photo how did you protect your camera and lenses in those conditions ? some type of thermal case ?
Thanks! all we did was put our cameras into a drybag and stick them in a backpack in the parts when we were in the water. Once we were on shore we'd pull them out. Snow melted onto it but it was okay. I just didn't shoot as long as I normally would.
oh so the temperature didn't bother the technical stuff inside or the memory cards at all . that's interesting . i would've thought they would have problems being so cold . really cool that it wasn't an issue for you
